Every horse is a winner

The horses are lining up at the gate

The jockeys are getting in the zone

Cheering of the crowd fills the air likes it’s World War One

The horses waiting impatiently

The sound of the gates roaring open

Everywhere spectators speaking as fast as they can.

The crowd on the edge of their seats

The horses are soaring round the last corner

The horse and jockey can almost taste the victory

Crowds stand up as the winner crosses the line

The jockey and horse take their victory

But every horse and jockey think to themselves

You don’t need to cross the finish line to be a winner.
